Organic Garden
Our organic grown vegetables and the techniques that we use to produce the best vegetables in harmony with nature.
Chicken farm
We are doing a natural breading with our chickens to recover the Chilean Mapuche Araucana race. This kind of chicken is almost extinguished nowadays; it was replace in favor of the more productive European race. However we are succeeding in bringing the species back. We have even recovered the famous blue egg so typical of the Araucana hen and we now have pure specimens on our farm for future reproduction.
Goat farm
We have more than 150 Sanen goats to produce our natural goat cheese. The goats are raised in a friendly and natural enviroment. The students work with the goats as part of their on going education. They help with the milking, the birthing and caring for the goats when they are sick.
Honey production room
All our honey is produced from our beehives and processed in this room; we will see how this is done from the collection in the beehives to the final package. (We also offer a full intensive apiculture course, optional, where we can dress in the proper attire, open the beehives and dive into the fascinating live of the bees and the art of honey making, just call for availability).
School and the Fundación Origen work
We have more than 480 children from poor areas that are given full time free education and free meals. From the age of 13 to the age of17 they study a 4-year degree of Agro- ecologic Agriculture certificated from the Ministry of Education of Chile.
